Users can upload documents into ContractSafe manually, or by emailing them in, whether they are electronic documents or scans of physical contracts. Files are stored in a secure database, and users can control permissions to limit access to confidential documents. Amendments to contracts can be tracked with full audit logs created for any actions taken. The platform helps members search for documents using individual words or phrases, and filter the results by document type, upload date, signing or expiry date, party, status, tags, and more. Its built-in automatic OCR enables users to search within scanned documents, rather than relying exclusively on filenames or tags to locate the required file. ContractSafe allows users to set up email reminders for key contract dates, giving them control of when they will be initially reminded of an upcoming expiration or renewal date, how often subsequent reminders are sent, the recipients, and the message text to be sent out. Date reminders can be sent to multiple recipients, whether or not they use ContractSafe.
