Boomi is an excellent platform, easy to manage and develop on, we are using it extensively across the enterprise and it has come out in flying colors.

Boomi is exceptional when you need to integrate disparate systems in a comprehensive way. It is also very good when you have a lot of data that is synced overnight (not real time). It allows you to handle a lot of data, schedule it for when you need it to run, and alert you if there are any problems. It might not be a perfect fit if your integration needs to be real time, although the APIs do exist to allow this to be done if needed. I was successful in implementing B2G and B2B integration with ease and less security prone activities. Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, SuccessFactors, SugarCRM, Workday, oDATA, Microsoft Dynamics etc are some of systems to which I had developed successful integration.

Boomi is an excellent interface between systems. In some cases, we even use it as an interface to just one system, because it's easier to develop and maintain processes in Boomi than in the system we are interfacing to. So far the only limits have been the number of connections, which you can increase if you don't mind paying more, and the hardware on the atom, which can do surprising amounts of work even with just 2 GB ram allocated to the atom.

Dell Boomi is one of the best cloud integration tools I have ever used. I have worked on many integration tools like IIB and MS BizTalk server. I found Boomi as very simple and easy to use. And their designing is fun. My current project is using Boomi for all possible integrations be it on Prem to cloud, cloud to cloud and a complete mixture, it does as you desire. Even for just moving files I suggest Boomi because once you schedule, you are worry free. Boomi does all lot complex functioning as well like Parallel processing, co-relations, EDI and etc. I would strongly recommend this tool to any client who is interested in integrating between their exising cloud application like NetSuite, Salesforce and etc.

Boomi made integrations easy and robust. On the positive side: - boomi has ample connectors to integrate various applications and the development turnaround is way faster than other middle ware tools that i worked on. - Flexibility in development, Deployment and monitoring - Ease of handling environments using extensions. Scope of improvement: - Industry standard connectors are not available.ex: RNIF - Embed more standard functions to avoid java or groovy script.
