Chef Enterprise Automation Stack is an automation platform that configures and manages infrastructures and aims to increase software innovation velocity. Chef deploys servers to any physical, virtual, or cloud location, no matter what size the infrastructure and imposes self-reliance across the users’ development and operations teams. Organizations are composed of one or more workstations, a server, and the number of nodes (whether 50 or 500,000) that are configured and maintained by the chef-client. Users can write dynamic policies that will create and manage the infrastructure, as well as search real-time data. ‘Cookbooks’ and ‘recipes’ are used to communicate information to the chef-client. For example, how each node should be configured. Chef Enterprise Automation Stack's delivery reinforces DevOps to deliver software and applications rapidly and safely with with full traceability of changes in any project. The dashboard shows users easy to understand views of each project, where it is in the pipeline and it's advancement, as well as information on who did what, and when. The node dashboard lets users see all their managed infrastructures, alerting them of any failures with Chef's audit and compliance features. The audit rules can be customized and sent in real-time to external systems such as email, Slack or Splunk.

DevOps tool to manage application configuration.
Used it with a large application with multiple modules depending on each other and multiple servers and maintaining the configuration and keep them in sync would have been a really difficult task without the help of Chef.

The best thing about Chef is that we can force servers to have the files we want on them with the content that we want and make sure that packages are installed/updated without much effort.

Good, for smaller 1-5 man operations it is recommended as it is simpler to configure and thus being less time consuming overall.

This is a good program, there are modules for everything, so you could run or company on this software only. It does not integrate with every accounting software but i do believe it work with Quickbooks.

I use it most when I need to buy things online or when I need to pay someone quickly. I also use it to load some money into a betting app because I used to buy a voucher at the store where it's a working distance and people had to know what I was doing. Now I do things without anyone knowing.

Powerful software – many possibilities – a lot of administration required
Overall, we are very satisfied with ADvendio, especially with the very helpful and competent support. The team always responds promptly, in a friendly manner, and with a solution-oriented approach. Individual adjustments and requests are also made possible. Although the system presents some challenges, which are likely normal for software of this scope and size, we would definitely recommend ADvendio.

Great alternative to Bitly
So, if you're not familiar with Sniply, it basically gives you the ability to shorten a link, but when people click that link the page that they end up on will also include a call to action, with your logo, with another link that you choose. If that doesn't make sense, just try out the free version. I love Sniply because it allows me to give my brand more visibility, and also let people know, hey, if you like this post, this page, then I've got something else you might like - take a look! Sniply is easy to use, and even the free version is fully functional. If you opt for a paid version you get even more tools and options.

Big Data MPI: EHR Solutions with Cloud Enterprise Support
I have used Big Data MPI in researching privacy solutions for Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) in the cloud. The system we developed realized the design and implementation of tamper-proof security protocols for ensuring the integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of patients' healthcare records while being processed in the cloud. Big Data MPI was one of the main solutions that supported the implementation and to research HIPAA-compliant storage/processing of medical records. We used two different privacy techniques: (1) The crypto coprocessor technique which relies on deploying tamper-proof hardware processors on the cloud site and (2) the homomorphic encryption technique which relied on software-based cryptography algorithms to process EHRs while in the encrypted state (without the need to decrypt first as is done standardly in privacy-providing services)
