eFileCabinet works for me

Switching our office to eFileCabinet for electronic storage in 2006 was on of the best decisions I've ever made.

Return to Version 4.1.43.56

I have used eFile Cabinet for about 7 years. The reason we choose this program is that all documents are saved in PDF format, and once saved can be accessed by Windows Explorer. If the company goes bust, nothing is lost and everything is fully accessible. With the newer versions, the documents are stored with a proprietary encryption; and can no longer be accessed using Windows Explorer. The eFile Cabinet company has abandoned its legacy customers by allowing us to deactivate the encryption function. Until the encryption is optional, I'm sticking with Version4.1.43.56. [This is the last version without encryption.] There are still some glitches in the program. Moving Drawers between Cabinets sometimes leaves files in the old cabinet and new cabinet. This requires me to go into the raw data using Windows Explorer and complete the Drawer/File move manually.

Efile Cabinet Review

I like that its a way to send sensitive information but keep it protected.

ESSENTIAL PART OF TOTAL SYSTEM

THIS SOFTWARE HAS ENABLED US TO BECOME NEARLY PAPERLESS. RECORDS ARE STORED USING THIS SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTS ARE EASILY RETRIEVED AND TRANSMITTED WHEN REQUIRED. WE HAVE BECOME VERY DEPENDENT ON IT.

General observation for usfulness

Hard to full implementation. I don't have enough time to commit to doing this. I still keep paper filing although I keep paying with an intention to transfer all to the e-filing system.
